Just sayin’…February 2019 sales were great, but March got off to a slow start…like switching off a lightbulb! And all sellers know just what I mean, and that’s what you have to get used to…lots of ups and downs in this business.

And why am I even talking about February sales in April anyway??? Yes, well…hope you don’t mind “suffering” through it, LOL. I haven’t been able to finish up this thing in a very timely manner…sigh.

I “love” those titles I see on Pinterest having to do with running an Etsy business…

  • someone brags claims they have a $70,000 income on Etsy
  • someone brags says they have sales every day
  • people are making so much money, they can quit their job

Just so you know, that DOESN’T happen to most of us! Never has, never will. I wish it did! But all that to say, don’t allow yourselves to get discouraged.

So on to the sales…32 in all for the month.

Oh, nothing much, really. Just that my day ends at 2 to leave to pick up our granddaughter, I’m trying to get away from the computer and do other things I enjoy and spend time with that granddaughter when she’s here, and besides, typing makes my wrists hurt these days more than it used to. (On the plus side, March was the best month at the booth that we’ve had in a year! April is starting out pitifully slow, though.)

It’s important that you can be there in these years for your granddaughter! Good for you in doing other things besides sit in front of the computer. I plan to do more of that myself. Typing makes your wrists hurt? Hmm, sounds like a visit from Arthur. Glad your booth did well in March. I’ve always found April is slow…I guess b/c of tax season. Hope you’ll do a post soon on what sold in your booth!

All but one were my dad’s side of the family. 1 was Aunt Mary Ann, which I didn’t have a clue you would want. Do you still want a framed one I have of Uncle Bert? I’m saving it for you.

Florence, I always laugh at those Pinterest titles, too. There’s a lot of the same titles that have to do with blogging…like you said, they are certainly the exception. I love seeing what sold, but even more fun is the fact that we had many of these items and they bring back memories. From this month’s sold list, I see the gold tissue box cover we had in our bathroom. So pretty!

Kim, I’m glad you can see the humor, too, in those titles on Pinterest…Come on! So unreal. Glad you enjoy seeing what sold! Isn’t it funny how the “old” stuff is being appreciated once again??!! I always sell those tissue holders you mentioned, so when I see one, I snatch it up!

Florence it really is surprising what sells and for how much. Most of these sales leave me baffled, like the paper plate holders or the mittens. But who am I to question. I’m glad for you that you did well in February. And those sheets look so familiar of what my mom used to buy back in the day.

I know…the mittens, right? Ha, that really surprised me too. I always sell those plate holders too, so that’s a surprise. I snatch them up at estate sales when I see them! Are you going to yard sales too? They are so much fun, aren’t they?

Great month. Can’t believe those plate holders sell for so much. I hated them, I always got splinters 😂
