Claire from Pillar Box Blue gives us a great collection of Mountain crafts and DIY ideas for the home! So much inspiration in just one post!

Don’t let the vegan & gluten-free title fool you! This chestnut pancake recipe by Maisy from the Becoming Alice blog is for anyone looking for a delicious (and healthy!) breakfast to serve up for family and friends. And, for those of us (like yours truly) who are gluten-free, we thank you, Maisy!

 Fall is in the air! And Cathy from VintagePaintandMore shows how to get us in the spirit with an easy -to-follow tutorial for making darling little fabric pumpkins out of patterned fabrics and jute-wrapped corks.

Laurie from Vanity and Me knows how to pull off any style. This particular one with the pretty lace top is a combination of masculine and feminine which makes it look modern.

This week I’ve started getting ready for my next BIG garage sale event. This will be bigger than any other one we’ve done. We’re starting off with a major basement purge. Pulling STUFF out we’ve forgotten about, STUFF other people have given us from their purges. Put it on a shelf and it stays untouched for years. I found a cute red toolbox full of plastic rulers and pencil leads, canning jars full of years-old pumpkin and turnip greens, and no telling what else!

In the process of getting ready for the sale, the basement gets cleaned out too, and that makes me soo happy. It’s gotta go y’all, or I go to the crazy house. But I’m a DIY’er too, and I find myself looking at things, turning them over…wonder what I can make out of THIS? When I started doing that with old worn-out, hole-y garden gloves, it gets ridiculous, dontcha think? Into the trash they went.

And this week, we’re trying to get into a groove with our new dog, Leo. We’ve gone from a 20 year-old dog to a 1-year old pup. We’re getting more exercise in a week than we’ve had in 10 years! He’s full of boundless energy. Keeping up with him will be a battle, but so far, we’re winning… I think…but I’m not getting much else done.

Enough about me, and Leo….let’s party!

This Cherry and Mango Mousse dessert uses fruit that’s in season, is simple to fix, and looks pretty too. Sadhna Grover from Herbs Spices and Tradition gives us an easy recipe for making this light and delectable looking dish.

I love how easy this beautiful, minimal embroidery hoop project is to make. With a sharpie and a few basic supplies, Katrin of KreativK reminds us that crafting need not be so complicated. Sometimes, less is more!

Every time I see the beautiful creations that Lalka Crochetka makes I want to kick myself for never learning how to crochet. Last week she shared this adorable little ant at the party and I can’t get over how tiny and perfect she is.
