Hello Friends!
Before it gets too far into December, I want to share my Smokin’ Hot November 2017 Etsy Sales. 42 Sales in 2 Etsy shops…woo hoo! It was a good month! Normally I would be posting this as of yesterday…Sunday…but I probably watched one too many Christmas chick flicks, and played one too many Magic Jigsaw Puzzles this week! But I’m about to make it up to you, so grab a seat and a cup of Christmas cheer, and we’ll dive in.
These are sales from my main Etsy shop, where I sell vintage of all types. I’m having a store-wide 20% off sale right now. Hop on over to see if there’s something you can’t live without!

Hollywood Regency Tissue Box Holder….in great shape….sold for $23.82

Another thrift store find from Tennessee, only to return home to find multiples of the same thing on Etsy, but it sold at $16.80.

Wowsers!!! You were busy, busy! And….. I wanna be you when I grow up! 😀 I was surprised by the price of several things. ~~~Cough… Wooden spools~~~ Really? Where have I been? I mean, I knew people looked for them, but I guess I never thought of them bringing over .50 each. I haven’t even been buying them when I see them and I think I put some in a bag slated for the yard sale… BECAUSE I HAVE SO MANY HANGING AROUND ALREADY!! LOL Gah! I have money lying all around me. I just need to work faster and with more determination. 😉 You’ve inspired me.
How are your sales starting this month? Mine have slowed tremendously. People out buying new retail, I think.
You also reminded me I didn’t get my booth sales report out yesterday. Busy weekend.
Florence says
Sales this month were practically non-existent for the first week & then they picked up. Oh, I thought I saw your report for November! What did I just read & comment on? Well, I was fortunate that things moved so well last month!
Wanda says
You saw the Etsy and eBay sales report. I haven’t done the booth report yet.
Nikki Gwin says
Well that was fun! It was almost like walking around in an antiques store. You seem to do pretty good. I would like the buying part, but not sure I’d be very good at the shipping part.
🙂 gwingal
Florence says
Aww, you could learn the shipping part Nikki! It’s not hard.
Ellen G says
Way to go! You inspire me to photograph and list some of the MANY things I have here, such as fabrics, trims, patterns and much more!
Florence says
You should go for it Ellen!
Kim says
Lots of fun things here today, Florence. My mom actually had that black sweater. She bought is at a very fancy boutique. So funny what comes in an out of style.
Florence says
Isn’t that funny? Small world. But do you think Christmas sweaters…nice ones…really go out of style?
Pam says
Wow, that’s a lot of stuff! Love that cake holder. I didn’t know you did square dancing!!! Are you still dancing?
Florence says
We square danced quite a few years, but had to quit due to a bad knee at the time. I loved it! So much fun! I’m selling off all my clothes now.
Jessica says
You sold some really cool things! I’m not sure if the sewing box or the recipe box is my favorite!
Florence says
Thanks Jess! They were both nice.
Janet says
Very interesting to see what is selling and for what price these days in the vintage world. Pinned!
Florence says
Thank you Janet! And thanks for pinning too!
Barbara Chapman ~ French Ethereal says
Man! You had some really hot sales this time!!! Glad you had a bunch sell, Florence. I had one of those wooden flip-top recipe boxes but my recipes outgrew it, so it garage-saled years ago. 😀 Now my Pampered Chef basket one is really too small… 😉 Happily pinned a few via Tailwind for you. Hope you do as well this month, woo hoo!!! p.s. Should have sold the Eagles album for $20. My son is buying LPs now.
Florence says
I’ve heard the young folks are buying LP’s, which is why so many are now perusing record albums at estate sales I guess. I would have liked to have asked more & probably should have, but have to keep prices in line with what others are asking. This has taken a while to sell too. But thanks so much for pinning Barb! I really appreciate it!

I really like the Bates Address book and the Tennessee thrift store fabric. The little pirate’s chest–why do people snap those up? They aren’t especially attractive to me, but each to his own. I love when you post about what you’ve sold and how much the item sold for. It’s really helplful info to use when thrifting to sell. I’m not in that category yet, but I’m thinking seriously about getting a booth at our local antique mall. So thanks for the great information, Florence.
Florence says
I don’t know why they snap up the pirate’s chests, but I’ve sold every one I’ve ever had, so when I see one I always get it. So glad you enjoy these posts Naomi! They are popular! Good luck with your booth when you decide to start!
Sarah - Craft Invaders says
Some fab items this month, you really do have an amazing eye Florence. I love lots of them but the double in and out tray is stunning. I know I’ve said it before but I love your sale round-ups!
Florence says
So glad you enjoy them Sarah! I know…that double tray was a lucky find!
Linda at Mixed Kreations says
Wow Florence, you did great! I had 2 sales last month, or I should say in last year. Lol. I’m just not a sales person, I love making things, but it’s come to the point I got to get rid of it or stop making things.
Do you promote much, or are most of your sales from items people just search for?
I need to learn how to calculate the shipping as well. Going to the post office couple weeks ago was an eye opener. I sure didn’t realize postage went up so much.
Seeing your sales each month has inspired me to try harder. Thanks so much for sharing your sales each week!
Florence says
I don’t promote at all, unless you count pinning on Pinterest. That’s all I do & I have some traffic from that, but most of it comes through searches on Etsy. I’ll be doing some posts on shipping in January. Oh yes, prices have gone way up & do so most every year. People get a shock when they’re not used to seeing them all the time. I’m glad my sales have inspired you. I love your crafts Linda, and I envy your ability to come up with so many cute ones. Me, I wrack my brain to think of one or two.
Linda at Mixed Kreations says
Thank you Florence, I love creating I just need to start sell or we gonna have to buy a house for my crafts. LOL
If I don’t sell more in my booth this month, I am probably going to pull out, and try a giveaway, then really buckle down and try more selling in my online shops, I’m just not so sure how to do the shipping so I will be looking forward to your shipping post.
I know now make smaller things, no big signs. 🙂
Florence says
Thanks Linda! I really wish you well in your booth selling! I will definitely be doing some posts on shipping in January.
Linda @ Itsy Bits And Pieces says
Wow, what a great month! Lots of fun items! Good for you!
Florence says
Thanks Linda!
Mary says
FLorence you had so much really really great stuff this month. I love fabric and am having a hard time finding in yard sales because no one sews anymore in my area. I also liked that beautiful sewing box and the spools. So many great things this month.
Florence says
You just have to keep looking…one day you will find some. I get lucky sometimes. Actually a friend gave me most of what I have to sell for her, & some of it’s mine, so you see, I don’t find it all that often either. Something I have a lot of is sewing trims & they sell, but not very quickly. Yes, the sewing box was nice…took a long time to sell though, and I guess the spools did too. It was a great month. I’m blessed.
Lauren says
Wow that’s incredible – great job!! I have the hardest time with the shipping too. I usually under charge and the larger pieces are hard to figure/wrap/package etc. You certainly have a knack for this!
Florence says
Thanks Lauren! Stay tuned for a series I’ll be doing in the new year on shipping.
Michelle Leslie says
I’m so happy that your Etsy shops are doing so well recently Florence. I suppose it will slow down a bit after Christmas with everyone feeling the Festive pinch, although I hope not. I do so enjoy seeing what sold every month. It totally fascinating
Florence says
Thank you Michelle!
Sharon@bluewillowhouse says
Congrats. Those are excellent sales numbers. I bet December will be even better.
Florence says
Thanks so much Sharon!
Debrashoppeno5 says
I am glad you had a great month. I guess it is an up and down business like it is in the booth. My favorite item is the older recipe box. And who knew lamp parts sell. I have a bagful a friend gave me so maybe I should try to sell them.
Florence says
That’s definitely what it is…up and down. As creative as you are, Debra, I’m sure you could do something for your booth with old lamp parts!
Keri Roberts says
Florence, you had an awesome month! That chenille bedspread is beautiful and so is the oval mirror tray. I also like those wooden spools. The $60 shipping cost surprised me on the sewing box. I’m glad you had a great month.
Florence says
Thanks Keri! I know…I can’t believe people will pay those big shipping costs either! I was thrilled at such a good month.
